Our camping village directly overlooks Platamona beach, which is just fifteen minutes away from Porto Torres and fourty minutes away from La Pelosa beach.
La Pelosa is a picture perfect beach with white sand, turquoise sea, with a shallow seabed; it is one of the most beautiful and photographed beach in Sardinia.
Its waters are famous for the intense colours, which go from the light turquoise to the deep blue.

Beach and sea
Platamona (in front of the Camping)
The beach is within walking distance and it is right in front of the campsite. White sand, shallow sea and plenty of space. It is the perfect place for families to relax in the sun.
Stintino and La Pelosa (40 minutes)
One of the most famous beach in Sardinia. Crystal clear sea, white sand and with a view on Piana Island. Reachable in about 40 minutes.
Ezzi Mannu beach (40 minutes)
A calm bay with shallow water, which is perfect for those people who are looking for a day away from crowd. Fine sand and nature all around.
Marina di Sorso (just few minutes)
Uncrowded beach, clear waters and a pine grove in the back. This is the right choice if you are looking for relax and space, just few minutes from the campsite.
Nature and excursions
Asinara Archipelago (2 hours)
A protected marine environment to be visited from Porto Torres and Stintino by boat. On the island you can go hiking, cycling or have a jeep tour. Its spectacularity lies also in its fauna, such as the white little donkeys.
Baratz Lake (40 minutes)
This is the only natural lake in Sardinia. It is in a pine grove in the north of Alghero and it is the perfect place to go walking, birdwatching or having a picnic in the middle of the nature.
Grotte di Nettuno (1 hour)
Grotte di Nettuno are amazing natural caves by the sea; with their stalactites stalagmites and subterranean lakes it is one of the most fascinating natural wonders in Sardinia. You can reach them by boat or through the 656 steps of Escala del Cabirol.
Sedini, La Casa nella Roccia (35 minutes)
In Sedini town centre you can visit the suggestive Casa nella Roccia, an ancient dwelling directly carved into trachyte. This building comes from a prehistoric domus de janas, which has been successively transformed in a house which is now a small ethnographic museum.
Platamona pond (5 minutes)
Behind Platamona Beach there is Platamona pond, a wetland with a great naturalistic value. Here you can see different species of birds such as herons and flamingos, and you can walk surrounded by nature, between dunes, pine groves and typical landscapes of Asinare Gulf.
Villages and cities
Castelsardo (20 minutes)
A medieval village perched on the sea. Not to be missed: the castle, Sant’Antonio Abate’s Cathedral and the alleys with the local handicraft. The perfect place for a sunset trip.
Alghero (45 minutes)
A seaside city with a catalan old town centre. Have a walk on the bastions, visit Grotte di Nettuno and enjoy a fish dinner with a view. It’s just 30 minutes away from the campsite.
Sassari (20 minutes)
This is the biggest city in the North of Sardinia. Rich in art, historic squares and churches. Come and visit Piazza d’Italia, the Dome and Sanna Museum.
Porto Torres (15 minutes)
This is the main harbour in the area, with its Roman archaeological area and San Gavino’s church. It’s the perfect starting point to visit Asinara.
Sennori (10 minutes)
A hilltop village with a panoramic view and an authentic atmosphere. Famous for its viticulture, traditional festivals, and small local farms.
Flavours and traditions
Romangia’s wineries
Sorso and Sennori are famous for wine production. Take part to guided wine tastings of Vermentino e Cannonau, together with typical sardinian products.
Local markets and typical products
Discover all the weekly markets with cheese, cold cuts, carasau bread and handcrafted products. Every Friday morning, in Sorso, in Marginesu Square there is a well stocked market full of authentic flavours and local products.
